Re: Scaling the frequencies in an EQ8
Found the video, it was a Tom Cosm one and it was more fiddly than I remember. Basically he did it by mapping each frequency to the macro knob and then setting the min value to the original position. Here's the vid for anyone who is interested http://vimeo.com/5676755

Scaling the frequencies in an EQ8
Right, I'm pretty sure at some point in time I saw a video where some guy had put an EQ8 into an instrument rack with a load of cuts and boosts then in 1 or 2 clicks assigned all the frequencies of all the different filters in the EQ8 to 1 knob so as you turned the knob then it scaled them up and ...

Disabling the APC40 Scene Launch buttons
I've built a patch which overrides the functionality of the Scene Launch buttons but I can work out how to stop the Scene Launch buttons from performing their default functionality. I think I need to set their ids to 0 but I can't find the method to call or the obejct to call it on.
I know you can ...

Re: Lighting up the stop clip buttons on an APC
Ah thankyou, it looks like I have indeed been blind and it's Track_0_Stop_Button I have been looking for, I can't test it right now but will give it a test soon.
Thanks again for all your help!

Re: Lighting up the stop clip buttons on an APC
All I'm looking for the control name of function call to light up a stop button. It seems the only reference I can find to them is the set_stop_clip_track_buttons function but I don't know what parameters it takes? call turn_on call turn_off  but I cant complain everything - load this patch ...

Re: Lighting up the stop clip buttons on an APC
...search enginge can help... this is not a XY Thingi - you must observe every button and you must send every button @ its own... so this is a lot of patching work, and will make your patch BIG! You have to take care by the way, to follow the bang order rulez, the order of what should be turned on ...

Re: M4L has just stopped working.
Good news, I've fixed it. It seems it wasn't M4L which had got messed up, it was Live, I fixed it with a re-install.

Re: M4L has just stopped working.
When you say locked up, are you able to access the view menu and select "initial window position" (i think it's called that) or is it literally a crash??
You might want to try reinstalling Max 5.1.4 it sounds like somethings not quite right??
Cheers

Nah it's a proper crash, no menus/buttons ...

Re: The correct update procedure after buying the suite update
Ok thank you, I've been downloading Suite just incase for the time being. I also just notice that when you got to add/remove programs in the windows XP control panel live installations use about 800mb of data where as suite installations are about 1500mb so there's definitely more stuff being ...

Lighting up the stop clip buttons on an APC
Am I being stupid here? I want to light up the stop clip buttons on my APC40 but there's don't seem to be controls in the list (unless I am being blind) of controls, I can see you have all the X_Clip_Y_Button contols which I can happily turn on and off and there is even a Stop_All_Clips_Button ...
