I give each drum sound it's own track. I also throw in an EQ Three in each track so I can process each sound differently.
Then, I assign each band of the EQ to a fader on my axiom 49.
The problem is, when I'm done EQ'ing one track/sound and it's time to move onto the next track, I have to DELETE ...

I use Audacity as well. Wonderful.
It's kind of annoying that when you cut a piece from an entire song and drag that into sampler or simpler, the whole damn song goes with it. But the start/end points are edited to wherever you made your chops, but you can see the waveform for the entire song. lol ...

I'm using different EQ settings for each track/instrument. While using the "EQ Three", I assign the "low, mid, and high" bands to faders on my Axiom keyboard.This works wonderfully.
