Why dont MIDI map assignments carry over when u copy/paste ?

Post by WPK Radio » Tue Aug 25, 2009 8:13 am

I'm using different EQ settings for each track/instrument. While using the "EQ Three", I assign the "low, mid, and high" bands to faders on my Axiom keyboard. This works wonderfully.

Except that when I copy and paste "EQ Three" from one track to the next, the MIDI map assignments do not follow. I have to go delete the assignments from the previous track and assign them to the next track. Then when I'm done with that track I have to delete the assignments and redo them in the next track.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a way to keep the MIDI MAP ASSIGNMENTS when you copy and paste?

Thanks guys for any suggestions.

Hi, you need separate faders/knobs and midi assignments for each EQ3, unless of course your controller is supported by ableton - if it is then you can click the control so that it shows the blue hand - this means that it is ready to be controlled by the auto mapped knobs.
