The short answer is I don't know.
The longer answer is it might come in from the sound card at some raw high bitrate (24/32?) at a certain sample rate, then it's mixed internally at 32bit floating point, then records to the hard disk at the bit rate to 24/16/whatever as is set in the preferences ...

Hi, this is probably a dumb question, but I just want to make sure. I'm looking to start working in 24 bit/48kHz. I've set the sample rate and bit depth in Live to those settings, but I only see a setting for sample rate in the MOTU setup, nothing for bit depth. So I'm guessing that whatever audio I ...
