Re: Using Push to change patches/presets

Is this what your trying to achieve https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27vb9d4xajo This is what I’m already doing with keyboard and pad controllers. Those clips are lined up with loops in specific scenes for each song. I can’t see an elegant way to navigate to different scenes with Push so I was wonde...

Re: Using Push 2 pads to play sounds from my Keyboard

Add the "External Instrument" device to a midi track and change the settings in that device to control your Montage. I think that's all you'd need to do. Alternatively, and messier IMO, you can have one midi track and one audio track. Set the midi track output in the IO settings for the track to you...

Can't you do 8 banks of 8, ie 64?

I have a Behringer BCR2000 that I haven't even set up yet, so maybe only 8 is enough for me...

Re: Anyone else find the Push 2 unplayable?

The pads on the Push 1, Push 2 and Launchpad Pro (probably some others too) are the same. The pads are only capably of measuring pressure – any other information (velocity for example) is derivative. It's why there should always be editable source code – it let's you tune your instrument. Is that t...

Re: Push 2 Custom Script Research

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to assign the touch strip to act as the volume control for whichever channel is selected in Live? Thought this would be so cool, sort of like the presonus faderport in function but all built into the push 2! I was also wondering if anyone ...

Re: Adjust Chain Volume Of Audio Effect Rack With Push 2?

Not at home so can't try it now, but what do you see when you press the "Mix" button when you have the chain selected above the screen?

Re: Mapping Push 2 to Instachord

I wonder if you could somehow use midi pitch effect to split and shift the notes before they get to instachord. Could become real confusing though, as if instachord wasn't confusing enough by itself... :-) Definitely you could do it in max4live but I don't know enough about it to achieve that. I mig...

Please let us know what happens...

I need to register my Push, hopefully there's no issues because mine was secondhand, I have no idea where it was originally purchased from.

Re: Push 2 - Loop Length controls are very insensitive

I didn't take a video but I had more of a play with it. It seems to be that if I'm trying to activate two notes at once on the step sequencer, if I hold the two pads for over, say half a second, then they will light up white, but not toggle. If I tap them both quickly, then they do what they're supp...

Re: Push 2 - Loop Length controls are very insensitive

Exactly the same for me, everything you said. It makes me not want to use the step sequencer because I have to hit the pads so hard to register notes, and I have the same issue you mentioned with two notes at a time. As I mentioned before, in 64 notes mode, the pads are sensitive again, so it doesn...

Re: Change default scale layout

A simpler option might be to have two channels next to each other using the different scales.

I'm not at home now so can't check, but I believe the scale mode is remembered per-channel.

You could even have the MIDI output from both channels going to a single instrument channel.

Re: Arduino Based MIDI Guitar Project

I would actually think that the problem is more likely between your grid and the Arduino, and you should be checking what data is actually being sent. "Fixing" the MIDI interface by shoehorning some MIDI HID code in would probably be quite a bit of work and likely wouldn't solve the real problem whi...

Re: changing MIDI value with a MIDI command from another device

Assuming it sends out MIDI cc's, I would assign the MIDI cc coming from the hot hand to a macro control which controls the chain selector for an instrument rack containing two chains - one for each note you want. You set the notes coming from each instrument by using the Note in and Note out (I-O bu...

Re: Push 2 - Loop Length controls are very insensitive

With L10, they've been tweaked to be a bit less sensitive to avoid accidentally changing your loop selection while playing drums. Full velocity required sounds a lot though, it's definitely not how it behaves on my unit. Far out, less sensitive? I've had this problem since Live 9. I'm pretty sure i...
