I am wondering though, how many people know how to optimise Windows for audio, i.e. shutting off background processes and setting Windows to run best for programs, etc. this may make a difference, especially as many brand name computers these days have all kind of junk installed that runs at startup ...

The cool thing about my old departed Ensoniq sampler (EPS- the ORIGINAL), was that you could control the sample and loop points with mod controllers (usually pitch wheel back then....) and if you set the loop start and end points really close together with ...
