Is there a way to do this? If not it would be a great feature...

Oh DUH, I actually only used Simpler once. The cool thing about my old departed Ensoniq sampler (EPS- the ORIGINAL), was that you could control the sample and loop points with mod controllers (usually pitch wheel back then....) and if you set the loop start and end points really close together with the loop on and set the mods for those points to the same controller you would get this really cool glitchy fukked up distorted version of the sound, which would change as you changed the mod value and/or the loop points by small degrees. Anyone know if there is an effect that does anything like this (if you even know what I'm talking about.....)????? That was my favorite trick with ensoniq samplers. I should get an ASR-10 just to rock that effect.

erm, yes there's this instrument that does exactly that, perhaps you've heard of it ... it's called... wait for it...
Simpler.

try it, assign the start and loop controls to midi CCs, you can make instant reverse samples etc, grainy nonsense. fun.
