Re: OBS and Ableton Live (Apollo Twin) w/ sound flower

Get a decent interface and a mixer. It's just easier to rout the audio out to an interface then a mixer so you can hook up mics and whatnot then feed that back to the input of your interface and set OBS to receive audio from your interface input. That's how I have always done it (windows) but it's ...

OBS and Ableton Live (Apollo Twin) w/ sound flower

Is anyone successfully live streaming with Ableton and OBS? I've got everything routed properly with Soundflower, but my only issue is the latency. I also get pops, clicks and drop outs at times. Periodically, the audio freezes until I change the buffer size, then it goes back to normal. At the very...

TIPS on using OBS and Ableton for Livestreaming?

I can only have a few tracks/plug ins open at one time before getting serious stutters/lag. I have to set the buffer to 256 which is a little annoying; wish it could go lower without the lagging. Do you all have this problem as well?

Using Vocal correction to get a "smooth" vocal?

Hey everyone! Are there any vocal processing experts out there? I have AutoTune 8 and Melodyne 2...Can someone explain to me how to get a 'smooth' vocal kind of like these songs? When I use either Autotune or Melodyne, there still seems to be some pitch fluctuation, even when I try to completely 'fl...

Apollo Twin Duo with Ableton + Hardware Rack

I'm very confused on how to set up my new Apollo Twin Duo in Ableton with an External Instrument (I'm trying to use my Korg TR rack inside of Ableton). Can anyone walk me through the steps?

Re: K Scale Calibration in Ableton

In my opinion, yes. What does the K meter methodology suggest? Personally I've selected -18dBFS RMS as my starting point when tracking. In which I'd include Live instruments and plug-in instruments as well as any external audio sources. -20dBFS RMS for vocals makes sense to me as the frequency cont...

Re: K Scale Calibration in Ableton

I'm trying to calibrate my studio in Ableton using the K Scale. I downloaded Bob Katz -20db pink noise file. When I load it into a track and play, it peaks on the master fader around -10/-11 db. To play a mastered file at about the same level, I have to turn it down to around -14db. My question is ...

Re: Pitch Bending amount in Ableton Instrument Rack?

You could open up the rack and adjust this in whatever instrument is being hosted by the rack. It's the synth inside the rack that will have this setting, not the rack itself. How do you adjust it on this? I don't see anywhere to expand it http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x292/bigbonthabeat/Scree...

Pitch Bending amount in Ableton Instrument Rack?

I really like some of the Bass presets in Ableton's "Instrument Rack". I know how to properly pitch bend the basses, but is there a way to change the amount of semitones that are being affected? When I use any 3rd party plug in, I can pitch bend either 2 semitones, 3, 12, etc. But I don't see any op...
