What does this mean:

Introduced a preference to enable HiDPI mode on Windows. HiDPI mode can be enabled on Windows 10 via Live's Preferences ? Look/Feel ? Enable HiDPI mode.

Im on 3840x2160 and use Live with Zoom on 185% - but VSTs like NI Komplete Kontrol are really tiny.
Does it mean this will ...

It has to do with the streamlined integrated process of production today
There was a time when artist made demos and the production process was apart from this composition phase

Received Push 2 last night.
Pads are much better and the overall layout is really intuitive.
Never been into sampling but simpler with push is fun!

After think more about it and reading through this thread, my decision is like that:

The Suite 8 to Suite 9 Upgrade for 169€ is a nice deal, I will jump on it.

The Push wil have to wait for a a price drop, and ( more important ) for
user reports about the pros and cons.

Will also wait for bitwig ...

What's funny is how familiar this whole cycle is...Machinesworking nailed it -- we are all so predictable it's kinda scary. Live 10, cleanse fold & repeat...can't wait! :twisted:

I just want to echo some of what evil-banana said an clarify the issues I see with the pricing for upgrades.

I think that the majority of people upset with the pricing are suite or suite + M4L owners. As he pointed out we are getting the smallest discount which is not necessarily a problem for ...

And....

I would like to update to live 9 suite and later get Push for a discount,
But as I see it then I will pay more.

Don't misunderstand me, I have a sale job in real life and think
It is ok to motivate people to buy something quickly,
But as a user of the top product I want a bit more of time ...

so let's assume that ableton Is indeed waiting for bitwig (which i doubt), then why in the hell would they already have live 9 done?
why on earth would they want to spend 2+ years waiting for a company, while developing something to the beta/rtm state, if the whole idea behind waiting for this ...

That would mean ableton waits for bitwig to release,then looks at the features and how stable it is
