Why are the new Operator presets tied to Live 12?

Makes no sense (except maybe getting people to update, but who'd update for a few free presets?).

Not a kosher move, I'd say.

Hi

1) Puremagnetik - I've just subscribed, idea sounds great, I ope the sets are great too.

2) Trackteam - I've everything but the latest rackpack.

Things sound from quirky to amazing. I love some basses and leads. Everybody should find something to his taste here (although not all is for ...

Re: Follow actions - can't change tempo with scene's name

e way.

the tempo stays the same even if scene name implies a different tempo.

workarounds?
k

Are you sure you're writing the follow actions into the clip launch window of the master clip where you typed in the new tempo? (I didn't know follow-tempo now works for master track clips - that's ...

[Each culture retaining it's distinctive forms of art, dress, language, etc. yet submitted to the will of Christ that we were all created for whether we admit it or not.

There are probably 4 fifths of the world that'd have something to say against that statement.

It's their bad luck that the ...

How do you deal with loops that begin before the 1st beat?

oh well, the question looks weird, but,

what do you do if you need to begin the loop (whatever it's in there) on the beat before the downbeat, or on the 3and (whatever you call it, I hope you know what I mean).

I just hate to make additional scenes just for these kinds of things.

Live is great ...

Follow actions - can't change tempo with scene's name

I sometimes use scenes with names like 126bpm to change tempo, which works great but...

if i need to change tempo somewhere in the middle of a song and don't have time to press the scene launch button (let's say during a sax solo with me playing the sax) the follow actions don't trigger the scene ...

nah, I'd rather upgrade...

we both (stupidly) did a really big live set in L6 (15 songs, 8 tracks each, each song with at least 10 scenes).

I value my time too much to do it all from scratch.

damn abes, upgrade it is.

Anyway to open Live6 made sets in Live 5.2

I've Live 5.2 and would need to share sets with a friend that has Live 6 - is it possible (in case he doesn't use racks in his sets)?

k

p.s.: One way would be to upgrade but I haven't really got the need for new features.

I'm probably in the market for new lappie too. I'd need it mostly for gigging, sometimes for production.

I was looking for really portable ones (MSI 12.1 screen), which would probably be ok (even great) for stage, but not for producing (I guess I could always use my desktops's monitor).

what do ...

thanks everyone.

I guess I'll stick with 5.2 for a while, there seems to be nothing revolutionary in v6 for me - better file management is always cool but as long as there's nothing that'd make gigging with it easier I can wait.

I don't have a dual-core.

What i'm doing is running 6 to 7 tracks ...

What's so much better in Live6

compared to 5.2.2

I haven't really explored 5.2.2 fully. I use Live to play with a band and 5.2.2 seems to do that just fine.

What are the things in 6 that'd make me upgrade.

btw, I've downloaded the demo but my DAW crashed after that and it's not back from service yet (surely not Live related ...

What I wanted to say is that I like passages or breakdowns without drums at all. How do you keep those in time?
In my case hen the drummer is playing you can hardly hear the click anyway´cause it´s so soft, but you´ll hear when drums are missing.

what?

you hear click out of his headphones if you ...
