Actually I found a quicker work around to my issue in the end. Though I have a flattened version of each track it can still take a while to open the track, make the changes, export it and then add it into the live set - and when the pressure is on it's easy to make a mistake, so now I just resample ...

I get audible clicks when looper starts as well. This happens whether triggered by midi or manually. It can happen with an empty looper being activated and again when it loops. Have tried with and without fx posted before and after the device. This happens on my live set which has CPU at ...

Nice post - I do a similar approach with adjusting clip volumes on the stems helps get around any issues if you have the luxury of a soundcheck
