recording into the same track as you are playing on?

hi i want to know how i can record audio of a clip with fx added to a channel with a clip that has no fx using the same clip and same channel

any ideas?
i could easily record the audio with the fx added into a new track but in a live setting i'm afraid having so many tracks would be madd messy!!

whats this about 4 banks of knobs? never hearda it. but you can use multisetups and have maybe a couple hundred banks of knobs and buttons.

i thought that something like this would be a standard by now. a shan NI is the only one i can think of at the moment that uses this.

you know the midi soft take over feature? it allows your midi controller to meet at the same place as the parameter that is being edited before control actually takes place. for example say i have a mixer slider in a program at 125 and my knob i use to control it is at 2 instead of jumping from 125 ...

hello i want to record some midi control messages that i use to play clips.
unfortunately it seems that if i select my midi input as remote, then arm a midi track and ask it to record all incoming midi, the midi is filtered out.
but if i unselect remote in prefferences, it reads my controller but ...

i've heard of global quantise a million times over but the only thing i se is groove settings
aside from that i started at 1/8 then did 1/16 then 1/32 same results

i know how to set up a clip to record a loop and i know how to do that
