Re: I have so many softsynths and now I want Largo....
I have Largo and along with Zebra it's probably my favorite softsynth. Well worth the money imho! Waldorf recommends to use a dongle (Syncrosoft), but you can also just use the e-licenser. The problem with that is that if your HD crashes or whatever, you will have to contact Waldorf and prove that y...

Re: Covert Operators site not working!
I can confirm that I'm legit. :) Come to think of it, since we're on the Ableton forum and all, I should probably link to my recent article "Why I switched to Ableton Live": http://colortheory.com/why-i-switched-to-ableton-live Brian. Hey Brian, I am a little disappointed that I wasn't cr...

Re: Magic Mouse anyone?
I had it and returned it. I didn't like the feel and response of it at all, even after installing Mouse Zoom to increase the tracking speed. It doesn't compare to my Logitech imho.

Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
is that korg ms-20 you didnt even mention in the gear list the real deal or the software version? Hey Thomas, I didn't mention the MS-20 in my gear list because that's the Korg MS-20 controller for the legacy collection (which I have to say the MonoPoly, part of the LC, is one of my favorite synths...

Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
Looks great Ken! I like the CDs on the wall similar to gold records :) Good call on the LCD TV too, saw a thread on GS about that, think it's the route I'll go too. Thanks. The TV thing was basically just a test and it turned out to be one of the coolest purchases. Best Buy had this LG TV on sale f...

Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
Yeah I love the Meyer's! If there's one thing I don't like about them it's that they are non-fatiguing and I keep turning them up over the course of some long sessions. :) The thing next to the padKontrol is just a quiet fan (which I can't say about that other one in the room and hence pretty much n...

Re: Native instruments or presonus
I know you asked about NI and Presonus, but man for $150 more you'd get a MOTU Ultralite mk3 (which now has USB2 and Firewire!). Plenty of I/O, good drivers, and good quality. Just a thought!

Re: Native instruments or presonus
The one thing I don't like about the NI audio interface is that it is using unbalanced RCA connectors, which in a club situation can cause lots of issues with lighting, etc. The Firebox has balanced connections which is a lot better. Then again we are using a Presonus Firestudio live and I had to ri...

Getting an error message after downloading the first one telling me I have to become a premium user. Rapidshare is crap. Try box.net, I love how they do their thing. Thanks so much for posting these though!

Re: apogee ensemble and RME FF800/400 users please chime in..
RME's clock is also said by some to not be the best I've read every single word ever posted on Ableton dot com, and this is the first time I've heard this. Have to agree with Hidden Driveways, that's the first I hear that the RME clock aren't good. That's how rumors get started. ;) From my experien...

Would love to check it out too, but the Rapidhare server you've used only lets you download it 10 times and the limit has been reached.
Looks really cool, great job!
Thanks,
Ken

Re: Native Instruments - komplete 6 pre-orders & updates
Wow, what a disappointment imho. You pay $150 to upgrade to get 3 updates and 4 discontinued products (perceived value issue here?) :( Also, I still really like Pro-53 and am sad to see that there will not be any updates for this anymore. I too am surprised to see Akoustik go as well as B4II. The B4...

Re: Snow Leopard Watch (compatibility page)
Anyone had any issues with Omnisphere, Kore and/or NI Komplete and Alchemy? Kore 2 and NI Komplete 5 work well. I didn't even do a fresh install so far since I just wanted to try it out. So far all of my software except Onyx work well. I am very impressed as to how snappy everything seems on my Mac...
