I have not heard any news on when Live 9 is coming out. Seems to be very little activity on the ableton front lately...

Does anyone have a clue?

Switched the place where I hooked the APC40 (in terms of usb), still no avail.

So I tell it to find the driver automatically, and windows replies that it cannot find it, and the device did not install properly.

In the driver manager, you see a big yellow question mark on the Akai APC device.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Using 8.1.1 suite, with the APC40, and no matter what I do, this device does not work. There is a template in the midi section of the prefs for APC40.

When the APC40 is connected, windows (xp) asks for a driver, there is no driver anywhere to be found, is this OK?

I agree, a high quality tuner would be a great help for instrumentalists who use Live onstage, it's one less piece of equipment we have to remember to bring to gigs. Nonetheless something like this may prove helpful:

Ableton 8 does have group tracks and cross fades. Only the multi-takes is missing - which is missing big time!!

For guitar takes it would be great to have:

1) Built in high quality tuner
2) A special track for stereo acoustic recording
3) Comping feature
