Ok so that's a complicated subject name.
In a nutshell I've setup a drum rack following BT's cracking tutorial on youtube.
Essentially you create an instrument with multiple sounds that you can scroll through. You then assign an instrument like this per drum sound in a Drum Rack allowing for easy ...

Re: ableton 9 wig!
Bitwig webpage and interface both look horrible. Wish people would chill out - I'm still scratching the surface of ableton's functionality after years - ableton 9, bitwig, pro tools 10 will not magically make great music for you - you have to learn to use what it CAN do for you. If you can genuinely ...

Re: Josh is my hero!
Firstly, thanks much for the reply.
I tried the first part of your suggestion, but it just asked to install the library again. I chose not to do this, so I didn't really test your solution.
However, in searching for the preferences.cfg file I stumbled upon the folder below, which had a backup ...

Recognising soundcard drivers after crash
Hi All,
I'm running Ableton Live 8.2 on a windows xp sp3 machine. I have a Cakewalk UA-25 EX soundcard and every now and agin ableton crashes. After killing the processes for ableton I relaunch it and it advises me "failed to open audio device ua-ex25" when i select it.

How to get Audio Device back after Live Crash
Every now and then (enough to be annoying) live crashes on me - When I re-launch Live it's lost connection to the audio source which is my Cakewalk UA-25 EX. If I go to the Audio Device it's defaulted to driver type Asio which is fine but when I try to select the audio device of UA-25 EX I get the ...

Weird random pitch change in Ableton
Hi guys.
Has anyone else experienced a random change in pitch of their plugin instruments working in ableton?
I don't know if there's some glitch in my midi setup but it's a straightforward usb audio/midi interface.
Essentially if I load up a vst synth like massive, FM8, sylenth it'll play the ...

Re: In/Out Button disabled
OK - no need to reply - there's not enough room to display the i/o - simple as that! Stoppid HD tv with it's low resolution. Thanks for reading. Now please go about your business and forget I ever asked

Quick addition to my post - this is only not happening in clip view - arrange view has full i/o routing functionality.

In/Out Button disabled
Hi - recently i seem to have lost the in/out button functionality on live. This means I can't view any routing
for audio or midi. My guess is live thinks it can't offer me routing options but I don't see why. In the same way the active buttons ggray out if you solo one track the i/o button is ...

Multiple Outs from a VST Instrument
Hi,
I'm trying to setup within Live for Battery 3 (Native Instruments)
Battery can have multiple outs and I'm wondering if there's any way these outs can relate to different Track?
So for example if I have a kick drum on pad 1 on Battery and a Snare on Pad 2 can these appear on seperate tracks ...
