Every now and then (enough to be annoying) live crashes on me - When I re-launch Live it's lost connection to the audio source which is my Cakewalk UA-25 EX. If I go to the Audio Device it's defaulted to driver type Asio which is fine but when I try to select the audio device of UA-25 EX I get the error "failed to open the device UA-25 EX.
Currently I re-boot the machine to allow me to select the Audio device sucessfully but does anyone know a quicker way of getting Live to recognise the device again. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the UA-25 EX but this doesn't work. I can get sound out of the Audio Device after an Ableton crash so Windows is happy that it's available but Live isn't.
Any suggestions - Live crashes on me at least twice a day (which I blame on the intensity of plug ins etc so I'm not grumbling about that) so a quick solution would be really good news.
Thanks in advance.

Re: How to get Audio Device back after Live Crash
I hate to be unhelpful, but I can honestly say that the way I eventually solved this problem was to buy a Mac and move everything over to that platform.
