I find ableton's resonator is much more useful for me as a sound design tool.

This is really sad, just importing an m4u song in 8.2.2 causes ableton to stop any clips from playing at all.

You don't need additional plugins for release-quality mastering, you have everything you need.

Try this - on the master, add a compressor, set the release to a low amount, the threshold down until the peaks are just bobbing above it.

I can see how it's useful. I wouldn't want to do something on stage that would stop audio without a warning. Also, it's just an extra Enter, no big deal.
