OK, I have the Kontrol49 working, but the parameter names don't show up in the LCD.

Are they supposed to?

Reason 3.05 is indeed UB, and so is Ableton Live 5.2.

I received my Mac Mini yesterday (1.6G Duo, 2Gb ram) and having run the benchmarks on these two apps, I can report that the performance is about 40% faster than my PC (P4/2.4Ghz, 1Gb ram, WinXP). So I am very happy with that!

Because then you have to use 2 (or more) clips for each drum pattern, and you have to edit the patterns in two or more parts. Hardly an ergonomic way to work.

I need a few more slots than Impulse's 8. Is there a VST like Impulse that's got the simple all-in-one interface? I know there's Battery and that sort of thing, but I don't need anything that feature laden.

+3 on the +1, but I'd settle for simply having a fixed 12 slots instead of 8. I've never needed to use more than that for even the most complex drumbeats.

eXT is VERY light on CPU, especially when you're just using it as a shell in this way.

I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work with Reaktor or any other VST for that matter, because all eXT is really doing is acting as a host within a host.

My advice would be to download the energyXT "VST ...

Well, this is disappointing. Now I understand why a lot of the parameters on my Arturia CS80V are missing.

Ableton need to realise that plugin synths are only going to get more powerful and more complicated, and a 128 parameter limit is already too small for many of them.

A two-part question, both related to Arturia's CS80 VST and Live 5.0.3;

In Sonar I can ctrl-click a CS80 knob to assign a midi controller knob to it. In Live, I can ctrl-click and get the dialog but it ignores all incoming midi controller data.

I've found that if I turn delay compensation off, ALL the rendering glitches vanish!

I'm stripping the project way back to a single clip that demonstrates the problem, and I'll then send that to Ableton.

It's not NI specific, my track uses no NI plugins. In fact it uses no samplers at all, just mastering plugs (EQ, compressor, etc), and a convolution reverb.

When I have some time I'm going to see if I can pin it down to something specific.
