It's always going to struggle to be perfect.
Can't you just replace the wrong snares with kick samples?

Re: whoa FLYLO!!!
Presumably FlyLo uses the warp modes fairly heavily, and given the degradation in sound quality you get with those, that might be what he's getting at.

Re: Live 9's new note snapping/not snapping behaviour
Thanks, will go through that tutorial later.
Seems like a really useful feature for me, I'm always turning the grid off to manually swing hi-hats/snares, and this just makes that process easier.

Re: How to know you are ready to move a project to Arrangement?
I mainly use Session view for getting the basics together. Once I've got 2-3 distinct sections, I then move it all into Arrangement view. I roughly map out the sections, and put them in an order which I think will work. I then use Arrangement view to flesh out the basic track structure I've develope...

Re: M1 Piano Sound!!! Please Help!
+2 for the M1 VST. Not only do you get the piano, you also get the classic organ bassline sound from every early 90's house track.
Probably the best value instrument I've bought in a way.

Re: Gigging live own material - Wavs or MP3's
As I understand it Live is much more comfortable handling WAVS, so keep them that in that format. Else you risk on stage crashes, which could be detrimental to your music career, and for your stress levels.

Re: Live 9 Pricing
So how is it that I've paid for 8 Suite two years ago and don't get an upgrade to suite for free? It's completely unfair when someone who just upgraded to Suite 8 two weeks ago gets 9 for free. To add injury to insult you give us ONE WEEK to use this "discount". Why this is so hard for Ableton to f...

Re: Ipad dj control software
Thanks for posting your further info, good to read. I actually re-tried the Bridge after reading this post last week, must have been inspired by your positive story. Clearly I did something differently as it started working! Think I may have had an issue before with the template not set up to send o...

Re: Ipad dj control software
My experience/inability maybe, TouchOsc bridge refused to work for me on PC. I could get a template goin in TouchOsc editor, and I was setting up TouchOSC bridge correctly in Ableton, but there was something not happening, Ableton wouldn't receive MIDI signals, even when I set up the most basic temp...

Re: Ipad dj control software
I was in the same boat, although my PC has wireless, and went for TouchOSC for its price and flexibility. Spent a whole weekend trying to get it working properly. Tried all options. The trick was getting the OSC signals converted into MIDI and the only way I made progress was in using PureData. The ...

Re: how to do a connection between Ipad and Ableton
I use RTPMidi to send a wireless MIDI signal over the network to my iPad, and it will control any apps that use core MIDI. So AniMoog, Polysix, Sunrizer. http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/rtpmidi.html I then use a home made wire to take the iPad headphone output into an input on my Saffire. Wor...
