Bugger. Just waiting for my session drums dvd's to rock up in the mail and I read this...

Seems mad that the laptop is the LIVE performance tool and you need to drop 28 gigs on the main hard drive. I've got a 60gig 7200rpm drive in the laptop which is nice and fast for recording but who has a spare ...

Quick question for those using ableton suite.

Does session drums need to be installed on the boot partition of your hard drive? It's a pretty big installation and I'm pretty short on space on the laptop hard drive.

I'm using the laptop hard drive to record to but I want to know if I can have ...

I'm half expecting it to be something I've stuffed up but the way I see it for a given BPM with 2 loops exactly the same length they should sound the same each time it plays the loop. I think....

Who knows...

I tried a couple of driver versions with no luck.

Since using the Belkin PCMCIA firewire card I have had no problems at all. Still very stable.

Oakie doakie.... There's 2 weeks of my life that I'll never get back.

The good news is that it seems to now be fixed. It was stable for over an hour this morning. It should be noted that if you check this thread http://www.inthemix.com.au/forum/showthread.php?p=388993725&posted=1#post388993725 you ...

My audiophile always went into the distortion thing using it on my Toshiba laptop.

I've since purchased an Inspiron and having the same problems as you. With the control panel freezing. I'm glad to know the PCMCIA card thing kinda works.

Have you had any more luck? I'm planning a clean install of ...

Live 5 Vs Dell Vs Audiophile firewire..... The showdown

Ok now normally you'd be expecting these two devices to be working together but they seem to be fighting each other at the moment. I understand this is more an M-Audio problem than a Live problem but I'm really desperate for help here and hoping someone else has found a solution.

You hear about it ...
