It can be done. Impulse's mappings are hard coded, but you can change the midi messages that the Electribe sends out (at least, the Electribe-R II allows you to do it). Did you install the ASIO driver? You need that, otherwise it won't be used by Ableton

Grrr... I am thinking of getting one too, but I kinda promised myself not to get more gear for a while.

Tell me if you miss a couple buttons per channel (i.e. cue and mute)... that's the only thing I feel I would miss in this beauty
