Re: The Great BitWig Migration
Well I haven't been here in a while but I figured I'd check in with the Ableheads and see how Bitwig is perceived. Here's my take - I bought it. I've been quite sure for some time that I would be switching. Some of the things made me decide to move over like bounce in place, hybrid tracks, the midi ...

Re: TOUCHABLE 2 - First teaser video
Is it safe to assume that this will work with Live 9.1 when released?
How close are we anyways?

Re: Arturia Minilab
As a generic midi controller it works fine. Make sure to set the knobs to absolute mode as I think that's what you need for generic mapping. The latest Ableton instant mapping script works fairly well also, though I'm not a fan of acceleration for endless rotaries. I think they should always turn at...

Re: Drum Rack with Microtonic, Designed for Push
Well the parameters being active when you select a pad is automatic, there's nothing to learn there. You need to map 16 macros knobs to a device's parameters by hitting configure on the plug-in and making sure all the parameters are configured (ie. they have to show up in the parameter view of the ...

Re: Drum Rack with Microtonic, Designed for Push
That would be awesome, because I cannot get it to work before the External Instrument for each of the 7 drum chains of Microtonic. :( Andrejs Get what to work? 16 macros device? Are you using the midi fx version? That's what you need to put it before an instrument device, not the audio fx version. ...

Re: Drum Rack with Microtonic, Designed for Push
I don't actually have microtonic, but it's the same principle for any multi-out multi-timbral plug-in. Also I just use 64bit. Maybe someone with microtonic and M4L could throw one together.

Re: Drum Rack with Microtonic, Designed for Push
Back to the subject, anyone? There's an excellent drum rack with External Instrument per chain/drum channel made in 2011, which requires only a single instance of Microtonic. However, is it ever possible, perhaps with M4L, to automatically map each drum channel parameters upon chain select? So that...

Ignore the Top Browser area and just use the Places for your own organization. Works great.

Re: Very Bad Ableton Latency
And as others said leave your driver error compensation at 0. why? cuz he seems to be using a simple setup with a decent audio interface (apogee duet) and using some basic usb midi controller via. No reason driver compensation should be needed. Especially if it starts ok and gets worth as he builds...

Re: Macbook Pro freezes every hour. Crucial M4 SSD Fail
I'll never buy a crucial again for a macbook pro. I put a 512gb crucial in with optibay in my superdrive slot on my last macbook. froze all the time. no annoying. Had to take it out. Bought a new macbook pro which came with factory 512gb ssd and it works great. Tried again with secondary ssd in supe...

Re: Very Bad Ableton Latency
Hey guys, I use ableton both in a live setting and in the studio. I'd consider myself a pretty advanced user of the program, but i have never been able to get around abletons latency. I have a 3 month old macbook pro with 16 gigs of ram and am running ableton 9 32 bit. I adjusted my buffer size usi...
