Re: CV Tools: Audio interface and cable adapter question.

I'm using a Motu Ultralite MK3 which is DC coupled.

I actually have a random 1/4'' stereo to what I believe is 1/8'' stereo - did not check to confirm that latter - and it worked controlling the clock of my DFAM with the CV Tools Clock out.

CV Tools: Audio interface and cable adapter question.

Can you use 1/4'' stereo to 1/8'' stereo adapters if you don't have 1/4'' to 1/8'' mono adapters? This is so I can trigger various patch points on my DFAM and Moog Grandmother.

Live Looper and multiple sub-clocks within a session?

I have a default looping set which has 4 tracks with a looper in each. Is there a way to have two loopers sync together and the other two sync together? I play with a drummer and we don't use a click. A lot of our stuff is improve and I love the freedom of hardware loopers like the Line 6 Dl-4 but i...

Re: Trading Live sets and version compatibility issues

So if he has an 8.2.X version - even if the last digit is not the same as mine, will our Live sets be compatible?

Trading Live sets and version compatibility issues

I have Live 8.2.8. My friend has a lower version - 8. something, I'm not exactly sure. When I make a live set and save to send to him, he is unable to open it. Do you need to have the exact same Live version in order to trade sets with another person, and have them be compatible?

Re: Midi grid smaller than 1/32?

Sorry for bumping an old thread but I'm trying to get 1/128 and I can't. I loaded some drum midi clips and they have a 1/128 ratio but I made my own clip and can't seem to do it.

I see people are saying use control and 1 but that isn't doing anything for me. I'm on a Mac using Live 8.2.8

Quick copy/paste of looper to empty audio track?

I use Live's looper a lot. I prefer it over just using clip slots to record clips as the Looper plugin offers some stuff to manipulate the loop. In the past I've had empty audio tracks in the same amount as my looper tracks - 4 looper tracks, 4 empty audio tracks, and I'd drag the looped audio from ...

Re: How to change tempo of clips without changing pitch

I cannot figure this out. I want to slow down the overall tempo of a song but when I do, the pitch of the clips change. How can I keep the clips as loops and be able to the slow the tempo without changing the pitch of the clips? - These are Audio clips by the way. warp section in the clip view. any...

Light, Durable, Portable MIDI foot controllers

I'm currently using a Behringer FCB1010 with UNO chip. I cut the expression pedals off so the pedal is just the 1-10 switches and the Bank Up and Down switches. It is a good solid controller but a little heavy and I'm trying to consolidate my gear. I'm mainly a guitar player and use Live for looping...

Midi Note overdub/carry over in recorded clip?

I make a lot of ambient stuff and I have some MIDI clips with strings. Two separate clips that harmonize. At the end of the clip, one note needs to carry over through the beginning of the clip but without retriggering the note - I don't want the strings to have to trigger again thus causing a pause ...

Re: Effects Send routing question

Hey Steve, Thanks. I ended up trying the Audio Effects Rack method after I posted the thread and that seems to work, though I'm wondering if the sound is the same as the Effects Send method - I don't see why it would be different since both methods have the dry in parallel with the Reverb. But the A...

Effects Send routing question

I have a default Live set specifically for looping. I have a Main track (guitar input), Monitor set to In. I have 4 separate tracks, each with a Looper and each receiving audio from the Main track. Each track is set to Monitor In and each of the Loopers Input/Output configuration (bottom right of th...

Re: Fader/knob controller for tracks, Sends

Why not map the last knob on the nanokontrol to the mastertrack fader in Live. Any of the other knobs could also be mapped to return tracks. The nano has 32 knobs, 8 for each scene. Just press the scene button on the nano to navigate through the tracks. I think knob 9 is the master fader and remain...
