Okay, wow, get this.
The solution is to set up an aggregate audio device in Audio MIDI Setup on the Mac. If you combine the Firebox (or whatever audio card) and Soundflower outputs into one device, you can use that device in Traktor to both receive input from the control vinyl (via the Firebox) AND ...

Re: Effects continuing after clip ends
Do you have your reverb set up on the same channel or is it set up as an FX send?
If you have it set up as a send, I'd automate your effects sends so they shut off when the sample stops.
If you have it set up on the same track, I'd automate either the on/off button or the wet/dry knob so it shuts ...

Routing audio from Traktor to Live
I'm using Traktor to scratch my own samples but can't figure out how to get the audio into Ableton.
My setup:
Mac OSX 10.5.8
DJ mixer output sending control vinyl signal to
Presonus Firebox inputs 3/4
Which is controlling Deck A in Traktor

Re: Change pitch without changing duration in Simpler/Sampler?
I suppose I could also drop a bunch of copies of the sample in a drum rack and manually change the pitch of each one. Seems annoying but doable. Hmmm, which method is better?

Hmm, yeah, I was thinking about going that route. I guess I'll try and see how it goes. Will report back. Gonna see how to maybe get around chords issue.

Re: making warp markers snap to beginning of audio file
Also, when you're placing warp markers, you can right click anywhere and choose "Set 1.1.1 Here" which is useful sometimes.

Batch assigning macro commands
So I know how to map individual parameters to macro control knobs but let's say I want the sustain on every sample in my drum rack to be controlled by one knob in the macro control section. Do I have to go through each note and assign it manually or is there a way to just batch assign them all at ...

Change pitch without changing duration in Simpler/Sampler?
So sometimes I'll use Simpler or Sampler to map a sample across my whole keyboard and play it at different pitches. However, the higher notes are shorter and the lower notes are longer. Is there a way to set something like that up but have every note maintain the same duration WITHOUT using looping ...
