Re: How to record with phone

Thanks so much for getting back to me.
Just to make sure we’re on the same page, I have tried with this Apple camera adapter with no success.
Main out set on usb, etc

You’re confident that your suggestion will work? Have you tried it?
Thanks again :)

Re: How to record with phone

Hey mate,
Does your phone have a lightning input or a usb-c input?
Mine is an iPhone 13 mini with lightning and can’t figure out how to record the Move into my phone.

If you do have a lightning input would you mind explaining which cables you’re using?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Issue - MPC One midi sync out to Live 10, via Scarlett 6i6 2nd gen

Figured it out.
Syncing out the One straight to Ableton live 10 isn’t the best way to do it. You need to put the mpc in controller mode and work with the mpc software, which you sync out to Ableton.

Was not aware that in this case, mpc one and software do the same exact thing.

All explained in ...

Issue - MPC One midi sync out to Live 10, via Scarlett 6i6 2nd gen

Hi guys,

I'm having a small issue and been looking in the forum as well as manuals etc, to no avail.

I'm Syncing out my MPC One midi to Live 10 via a Scarlett 6i6 (2nd gen) via midi. I really like that set up, MPC = midi out, which controls Ableton as a sound module it's like a mega-MPC ready for ...

Re: Ableton playback audio issue MBP 2009

I tried resetting the PRAM, to no avail. I haven't tried the OS update. I did realize that iTunes had the audio enhancer on which didn't do the already mysterious echo-y sound any justice. So i'm back to square one. I guess I'll just leave it like that... Thanks for your help anyway.

Re: Ableton playback audio issue MBP 2009

Hmm actually I just found posts on other forums about people having issues with mav/yosemite os upgrades on MBP 09. They have in common a Ram upgrade. Did you upgrade yours?

Re: Ableton playback audio issue MBP 2009

Thanks for your compliments and feedback about Mavericks working on a 09 mbp :)
I guess I'll just upgrade to Mav. as it's not an Ableton specific issue.
Audio settings in Live are Core Audio indeed.
Cheers!

Ableton playback audio issue MBP 2009

Hi everyone,

So I bought this MBP in 2009, Intel Core duo 2, 2.53ghz, 8G ram (added myself) running OSX 10.6 snow leopard (I think).

My issue is that when I playback audio through the headphone jack from software like Ableton Live 8, VLC, iTunes etc the sound sounds horrible: over compressed ...

Re: pops/clicks where clips meet - Live 8 cross fade problem?

It's most likely a zero crossing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero_crossing).

I find turning on 'fade edges of clips' or whatever the setting is seems to help quite a bit.

Yes yes yes, I found that out this weekend! That's the trick.

If you just click on the "FADE" button which you'll find ...

Re: pops/clicks where clips meet - Live 8 cross fade problem?

Hi guys,
Has anyone found any workaround or solution for this issue?
I downloaded Live's latest version 8.2.7 yesterday and I still get these clicks in between clips.
Thanks
Philippe

MPC1000 as master controls Live 8 as passive sound module.

Re: Looking to improve mpc + ableton combo for live use

Nice stuff! Nice setup too!

It's great, I'm going from gazillion drumracks to 10 tracks. WOOO!
I guess you crop the sample in "sampler" and drag-drop the audio silce in the clip and then assign the clip to a pad, right?

Re: Looking to improve mpc + ableton combo for live use

Damn right!

I just changed it again for more flexibility.
My main worry was to load a Live set every 2 songs because I would run out of midi canals.

However I can assign 1 mpc pad to 1 unwarped/unlooped clip sitting in a track. 1 ableton track = 1 mpc track = 1 canal. Also on the mpc you have 4x16 ...
