For me personally, demonstrated behavior has not obviously reason for reporting. Since it may be correlation between potencially properly cpu consumption of certain m4l device with my certain PC config.

Interesting, thank you for taking a look. Did you specifically try holding down a note that triggers a chord? That's when my CPU goes haywire. I also wonder if your CPU meter is set to ...

How does it look for you at those buffer sizes?


The problem that i use pretty old (about 20 years) MAudio card (AP192) which driver does painfully by using low buffers. I gues it's not suppose for that by design. It's even does not have 32, 64 samples buffer is minimal here.

Just for note, i did check Expressive Chords right now at Win10, incl with different setting (strum \ modulation etc), with playing pretty extensive midi clip. By itself (with no any instrument) it load about from zero to 1% cpu core. With instrument (Analog, init state) - 4%.

Big surprise: The installation of version 12.3.1 only took about two minutes, in contrast to the more than 30 minutes that the previous version 12 required.

Did check this preset (in various ways), not found anything strange either. Seems some routing issue at TS side.

Wanted to note also (at positive side) that Live become install very quick for now. That i particularly observed just now with install 12.3.1 (not remember if this was started from 12.3 tho ?). But really, before, i remember install update occurred pretty long, you could watch third of a movie and ...

Not a big deal perhaps, just did catch endless spining bagel, can say classic. Though not enough tested this issue in pre 12.3, but can't remember that i noticed that already long time.

Found recently little thing that seems strange cause CPU eating.
But I'll warn right away - I not exactly good in Live knowledges, since it's still my second DAW. So, perhaps this CPU impact not strange at all (?).

Just recently bought Spectrum Effects 2, and info in this pack specify to already dead links to pdf manuals at AN official page, so would be good to get this pdf's. Maybe someone had time to grab them ?
