Re: Adding / Moving plugins without "poping" the sound?
"Reduced latency when monitoring" is often the cause of such pops.
Theres a trade off....have RLWM active and play softsynths with minimal latency (but their clocking will by off-time and pops will happen if their stream needs recalculating)
Or have RLWM off, and the synth will be as latent as the ...

Re: Latency doesn't make any sense...
To monitor with the minimun latency, make sure on every project you click on:
-> Options -> Reduce latency when monitoring
Or just create a new one, click that go to Preferences and save it as a default project.

Adding / Moving plugins without "poping" the sound?
Hello Guys, sometimes while recording sessions i end up adding or moving plugins in the chain but more often than not the sound "clicks" or "pops" for a split second.
Is there a way to avoid this?

Getting a steady MIDI SYNC DELAY / MIDI CLOCK OUT ?
I noticed that a lot of times i start a session with a given MIDI SYNC DELAY set on my MIDI CLOCK OUT from ableton but half way a recording session the "latency" slightly changes and it turns out drums that were perfectly tiemd to the grid now are late by a few milliseconds ( enough to have phase ...

TR-8, nor Rytm.
That's funny, are you using USB? I use "real midi cables" so that might be a difference as well
Are you actually using External Instrument ? If not, why not?

Re: Fixing problems with negative MIDI Clock Sync Delay ?
A funny situation i found now.
I'm sending MIDI NOTES to one machine and MIDI CLOCK to another machine.
In order to get the machine i'm sending MIDI on the grid, i had to use exacty -13.6 on the "Track Delay", yes 0.6 and it works perfectly!

Fixing problems with negative MIDI Clock Sync Delay ?
Hello Guys,
As you know when using negative "MIDI Clock Sync Delay" to sync external gear there are a couple problems:
1 - The first beat is always out of time
2 - MIDI Clock Sync Delay might change ( even using exactly the same external gear and sound interface )
3 - Sometimes when you start ...

editing the autoassign of efx/plugins ( takeover mode )
When you configure a "control surface" in ableton ( my case are the faderfoxes ), ableton brings a blue hand each time you click an instrument of effect.
The thing is normally the parameters arent auto-assigned to the knob i want.
I remember reading a very old thread where someone revealed a text ...
