every time i import a mp3 file ableton creates a wav file from it, why? how do i make it stop? its loading up my HDD

OK, so i kinda knew it does this but never fully understood why, and really i still dont.

So u may as well convert all ur mp3s to wav before using them in ableton and to free up ...

does anyone know if alt 3/4 outs on the 820i can be midi routed 4 cueing?

i mean in order for me 2cue songs in the headphones i need a 4ch sound card. (currently fast trak pro) so can i do the same job with the Mackie?

i am thinking bout getting the i820, my question is this, does it have 4outs? so i can route cue-ing separate from main out? and if it has 4outs can u select cue-ing in preferences to 3/4?
