Found a weird problem in Live 9 with the undo function and M4L devices. Made a tutorial about it in case someone else runs into the same problem and can't figure it out.

Re: FIsto knows what he does :)))
I love the fuck out of ableton, but its lack of automation curves and multi-MIDI clip editing is staggeringly ridiculous for 2011.
Seriously, these are incredibly useful and important features. I was hoping that they would be added in Live 9, but god knows when that'll come out.

You da man!
IT ACTUALLY WORKS NOW

Don't know that I'll ever use it, but the fact that that Audio To box is no longer grey and is no longer a super secret mystery makes me happier than I want to admit

Re: Drum Rack's "Audio To" field...wtf?
I don't understand how it's only there for 'the returns' when it literally does nothing. The tooltip seems to indicate that you would be able to route things out of it.
I just can't imagine why a box would be there, have that description, then not be able to be turned into a drop down box or ...

Re: Drum Rack's "Audio To" field...wtf?
Two things:
1) I did not know that you could group two chains to make a nested chain of racks, be it instrument or audio effect - cool, thanks!
2) This still does not make the Audio To field do anything:
Seriously, no one knows how to get this box to do something? cmon!

Re: Ableton effects vs Uhbik
Heavenly and FAT?
Please - if you can - show us a demo of something you've done through Uhbik, and a demo of that same thing through Ableton. Honestly, I doubt there's much truth in what you say.
Honestly, I doubt that statement wasn't rude and obnoxious. Yes, they sound a shitload better than ...

Re: Ableton effects vs Uhbik
Most of Uhbik is far and above what the ableton native effects are capable of IMO. The Shifter, Flanger, Phaser in particular are heavenly and FAT compared to ableton's.
I use Uhbik a *lot* - but I rarely use the reverb for bread-and-butter uses, I use Ableton's as it simple, I understand what it ...

Re: Drum Rack's "Audio To" field...wtf?
No, that's different.
I can easily create a return within drum rack and route that to the global sends.
What I'm talking about is the Audio to field, as shown in this picture:

I can't get that grey box to do shit. It sounds really great, what am I not doing?

Drum Rack's "Audio To" field...wtf?
OK, so in Drum Rack, next to each chain there is a field called "Audio To"
The help description says that the audio to chooser can route the audio of each drum rack individually to any of the Set's return tracks, and then something about nested drum racks I couldn't quite follow.

That seems like an extremely inconvenient workaround though doesn't it?
I mean, I can't have my APC triggering both of them can I?
