Re: Conectiv and Ableton setup
I would presume that is correct also. Just double check by choosing 3/4 onm your master out for ableton. If that doesnt work I am stumped. My connectiv works fine with ableton. Make sure you have the lastest drivers downloaded from maudio.

Re: Conectiv and Ableton setup
make sure that if you have your phono cables set to output 3/4 that you are routing audio out of this channel in live. Click on the 'I/O' button in the session view and change the master out to 3/4. (if you are using this channel otherwise it will be 1/2).

I think for must club music that the main house guys are putting out the RMS levels are around 10-8db. Dont quote me on that tho!

Re: Loud Music Before Master
Lots of reply here!
I understand the importance of leaving headroom for the mastering engineer to work with. I try and make my tracks peak at -6 db. Also your tutorials tarekith are great!

I have finished a couple projects now that I feel happy with. I have done lots and lots of reading on mastering. I realise that it is better to have a professional master your tracks but for the time being it is something i would like to do myself. These arent going to be released by any labels they ...

Re: Compressors Attack and Make Up Gain.
you should also consider the use of Transient Designers. they give you independent control over the attack and the sustain phases of the audio signal passing through.
very easy to use and very efficient for your purpose. check the following:
1. Transient Designer from SPL

Re: Compressors Attack and Make Up Gain.
I understand that the make up gain is the last stage in the compressors chain. Does however increasing the the make up increase the transients aswell as the compressed signal or does it only increase the compressed signal therefore allowing any singal before the set attack time through the ...

Compressors Attack and Make Up Gain.
I have been digging quite deep into the theory behind compressors and using them on my audio signals. One thing i was wondering and i presume this could possibly vary between compressors is the attack and make up settings.
