Conectiv and Ableton setup
Hi!
I have been using Ableton for long without any usb soundcard, basically just connectin
my speakers to my laptop.
Im trying to use now the maudio conectiv but im not being able to get any sound out of my speakers
even if a clip is playing...
Any idea?
Cheers!

Go to Preferences->Audio, and make sure that Connectiv is selected as the Audio Output Device. It's also a good idea to make sure that you have the latest drivers for Connective installed. You can find those here: http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support&tab=driver

Re: Conectiv and Ableton setup
I have done that already and no change... i have got the wheels turn to usb instead of input too, and set both to line mode
instead of phono...
It will be great if anyone using the conectiv with ableton can help me to sort this problem out

Have you been able to successfully get sound from any other programs on your computer through Connectiv?

Re: Conectiv and Ableton setup
it works with torq fine, but i havent tried it with any other software, so i bet
the soundcard works and it may something to do with the right way of setting it up
inside ableton.

Re: Conectiv and Ableton setup
Is Connectiv appearing in Live as a selectable Audio Input or Audio Output device?

Re: Conectiv and Ableton setup
make sure that if you have your phono cables set to output 3/4 that you are routing audio out of this channel in live. Click on the 'I/O' button in the session view and change the master out to 3/4. (if you are using this channel otherwise it will be 1/2).

Re: Conectiv and Ableton setup
My phono cables goes from output A in the conectiv to the speakers, therefore im assuming
A stands for output 1/2 in Ableton, and the wheels from the conectiv are turn to usb instead of phono.

Re: Conectiv and Ableton setup
I would presume that is correct also. Just double check by choosing 3/4 onm your master out for ableton. If that doesnt work I am stumped. My connectiv works fine with ableton. Make sure you have the lastest drivers downloaded from maudio.
