here's what you get in section 14.3.1:
You can later unroll a loop recording, either by repeatedly using the Edit menu’s Undo command or graphically in the Clip View: After loop recording, double-click on the new clip. In the Clip View’s Sample Display, you can see a long sample containing all ...

thanks. . .I have the manual. I thought "Noob" in my subject line was humility enough but. . .no offense meant, but why answer if you are going to simply tell me to read the manual with no more specific detail? Translation: I've read it, and it's still not clear to me. Im sure I'm missing something ...

Noob: basic recording question about takes/recording overdub
Forgive me for what may be obvious? In some other DAWs I am used to recording in a looped section, and when it loops, it non-destructively continues recording, but I can get back all the previous passes as "takes" or clips if I choose. I can't seem to see where these clips go in Live, they seem to ...

Master tempo range problem?
I must be doing something wrong. I assign a midi cc (tried fcb1010 and pcr-30 both) to the master tempo (upper left project tempo), set the range in the master track, and the tempo still goes from 60-200 when I turn the knob. Am I missing the intended function of the range?

Looks like you can config GPO to ignore the mod wheel but you still need to send it a cc #1, and I'm not expert enough to figure out how to send cc's from Ableton? I don't even know how to create cc's going "out", I know how to recieve them via remote but they get used and stopped there as far as I ...

Garritan mod wheel volume issue?
Anyone using GPO ,if so, how do you manage the mod wheel volume problem for sequenced stuff? I don't want to have to use my mod wheel to set volume everytime I use a GPO.

Sonoma PCIe info?
I keep reading about the Sonoma/PCIe problem and I am getting confused looking for a laptop. I know I need dedicated graphics as I currently run video simultaneously off the same machine, but I can't seem to tell which models are going to give me a problem. Right now I am looking at:

and also MIDI envelopes?
There seem to be quite a few things you can't midi-assign, when I press my midi map button and anything that isn't blue, basically is what I am talking about. More importantly (to me) is that I can't seem to do things from the menus, like change views or menu commands. Navigating in arrangement view ...

Newbie MIDI assign question
I've searched the forums for a couple weeks now. learning a lot, but still a couple of questions-
Are the MIDI-assignable parameters in Live as limited as they seem or am I missing a hidden feature? There seem to be a lot of controls left out, and menu commands/keystrokes are left out entirely? I ...

Try a latency of 3.0ms for a 128 buffer. That's what I have on my FW410 and my Delta 1010 is something like 3.06ms in and out.
That's really weird that the Firebox adjusts the latency time as opposed to the buffer size. If my FW410 ever craps out on me (which I'm expecting), I was planning on get ...
