Why not just put an arrow below the pulldown menu (instead of that stupid "clear envelope" button which should be just not where it is now, annoying as it is) to create a new empty track with new pulldown menu and then select the desired automation from there ...

– 1 envelope lane (saves alot of space)..
– that holds 5 envelopes (more is somewhat unnecessary)..
– all 5 envelopes have different colors..
– the envelope you click comes to front, the others dim (colorwise)..
– the envelope you click shows a contextual explanation which parameter it controls ...

This "Clear envelope" button in arrange is startin to get on my friggin nerves.
Just a little misfortune with the mouse moving and u'll be hitting this one.
Why can't it be in some menu or where ever?

Definitely. A good way to enable this would be to have a switch for all automations showing, but only have one active and editable one on top at a time. You could then switch back and forth between paramters while having the others greyed-out behind it for reference.

why not just push down the middle mouse button and have a chance to scroll everywhere, up, down, left and right??? ctrl+mid mouse would be zooming in-out etc.

these (navigation) problems are very well resolved in 3D editing environments, take a close look ableton guys :)

it should be like in logic (not wanting anything to be like anything but the case here is VERY nicely resolved in logic)

one automation per track showing at once is really really annoying. Especially when u have to program some synth modulations and stuff with no ...

there is INDEED a LOT of wasted space in there.
there should be option to show/hide locators (and i mean the locator "bar") and the totally useless gray area above the ruler numbers (why so much of it?).
