Making Acoustic Guitar sound like Electric Guitar
Looking to get an electric guitar soon, but in the mean time, does anyone have any tips for making an acoustic guitar sound like an electric guitar; clean or distorted. seems like a bit of overkill. I would suspect that unless you're pushing the tracks really hot through your outboard gear that you wouldn't notice a difference. Are there tubes in the Focusrite or Novation? Perhaps if you were driving tubes you could get a bit of warmth. Have you tried playing with ...

you can also get a cheap magnetic pickup and record both the mic and the pickup at the same time. then bring in a bit of the pickup volume to give it a bit of clarity and warmth. although the mic should be the dominant sound.

i think if you look hard enough you can find some free loops to start off, then if you feel like getting a bit more serious try purchasing a pack.

i think if you spent some serious time with Operator you could probably find this tone. Obviously several layers at least one has a long attack on the filter.
