10.4.11 here, but only on 8 for a couple of weeks. So far it seems good.

crashes once on average every 4hrs - this is ok because I push it a fair bit on a macbook with 2g ram - its not any more or less crashes compared to 7 - so you get a thimbs up from me!

with L8 i had a bit of trouble under 10.4.11
i am now on 10.5 and apart from ableton being better under it, the whole performance of the machine stepped a notch up...
i personally recommend going 10.5

+1 Was using 10.4 w/ Live 8 since it was released. Updated to 10.5 Leopard a few weeks ago & the performance of my computer is greatly higher. I truthfully never had many issues w/ 10.4 & Live 8, though bringing my MacBook up to speed has been a winSubFunk wrote:with L8 i had a bit of trouble under 10.4.11

Dude - I don't think you'll find the option under the Apple page...I searched before. At first I was gonna buy a copy off of Amazon & then I remembered that Ebay existed... Snagged a copy for about 80 bucks. It was a used disc, but in great condition & there's no serial/registration involvedRadio Arcade wrote:where do i get a price to upgrade to leopard from tiger - i can only see the option for leopard to snow??

I topped that off w/ a new 320gb 7200 RPM Seagate harddrive & this Mac is working stronger than some on the showroom floor
