Finger Remix of Two Fingers

Post by ducktail » Wed Oct 14, 2009 9:50 pm

Somehow it just seemed right. What with all the fingers and such.... I kind of went apeshit with the Finger

I'm conflicted...

Should I be happy or disgusted that mainstream pop/hip hop has co-opted what used to be very experimental electronic music?

Never heard the original so I can only guess what's from the Finger (probably the beat repeats and stutters).

It's less lame if you modulate your own music..

Bassline, several sampled lines, drums and finger FWIW. I'm disappointed that professorial weinerbags with pipes and corduroy jackets have co-opted all the fun out of music. Enjoy your "lab", chin-strokers!

naw, man, its groovy. I find it hard to resist cutting up his wonderfully thick work. My band mates have put a moratorium on tobin samples, simply because theyre so awesome that it feels like we aren't trying hard enough by using his textures. As to those out there who are allergic to pop music, well, at least the instrumentals are readily available...
