I can drag it from one monitor to another ..hehe
To be honest, it doesn't utilise any of the serious advantages of dual screens, but you can have your VST/VSti plugin interfaces dragged to the second screen, and you can stretch out the window across two screens so you can see more tracks.
It would be nice to have the arrange view on the second screen ...
and only one screen show you the editor and effects racks.

I'd get the two screens.
If you start to use live with another program through rewire, it would be handy to see both apps at once. Also I can think of a million other reasons you may want 2 screens than just live. Thinking Live is your only potential software application is too narrow a view, your all round computing will be better off with a second screen.
You can even look like those cool professional guys with a second screen, even if it just shows your wallpaper

No idea how it will look on a 21, I pesonally think it'll be fine. I have never had a problem with resolution (maybe when im older I will take that statement back) but it depends on the resolution you run on the TFT.
If things are too small but you are someone who spends a lot of time with midi controllers and is not always clicking around in Live you will probably not feel the size issues so much.
Sleepy time for moi...
