The APC 40 experience, and bugs..

i DLed the beta version 8.0.5b10 and the bug is ok there.

have same problem here ...
nothing matches between apc and live session.

first 8 rows are ok... then i press bank select to scroll left i see both session and APC going left but then i see only the live rectangle move to left.. apc leds stuck in same position corresponding to wrong tracks.

if i do easy sessions it's ok.. but when it starts to be 30 tracks with groups ... it's a big problem.
can't belive a dedicated hardware where it's writen "protessional" on it can be so useless !
now audio industry goes like video game industry bugs patch bugs patch.
this way, we pay for them to develop the product.

I have this problem too... But I think I've isolated it to using grouped tracks. I have drums and percussion and synths collapsed from, like, 8 tracks in each group, down to 1 group track each. When I navigate around the set with these groups collapsed (from left to right), I eventually stop getting proper clip launch updates on the APC. Now, to be clear, all the controls (arm, activate, etc) correspond correctly, but the clip launch grid just stops responding. Very weird, and kinda annoying.

I'm using the newest update of Live, though the session was originally created on the .04 release. I'm going to experiment with this today and see if I can find a workaround.

i was hoping i wouldn't either. what about sessions made with previous versions of live? when opened in .05 do they work ok or so they still wig out?

How many tracks in total are you using in these sessions? Are any over 20 / 30 tracks?

the .04 session that had this problem was about .. 20 track midis, audio and 3 sends.
it works ine with .05 now

did you try to create a new project in .05 and import tracks one by one to see if the problem is still here ?

I have not yet tried that. I have a couple slightly easier work-arounds planned. I'm glad your sessions are working fine for you. I'll post if I find any other solutions.
