Automation Issues when Rendering

Hey all! I am having trouble getting my automation to work both when the song plays through and when it renders. Its weird, sometimes it does it, and sometimes it doesnt. But no matter how it does it, ableton chooses to ignore the very beginning of the automation. For example, i have the track volume automated to fade in. When ableton gets to that part of the song, it plays the first beat in full volume, then the automation kicks in. I have tried making the automation points start well before my fade in, and it works then, but if I have a lot of automation that is supposed to happen in quick succession, this will not be sufficient.

Anyone know of this issue? Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesnt. Usually i can render it a couple of times and one of them will have it work correctly, but its rather annoying.

I updated to the latest version of Live 8 (from 7) over the weekend
and I have discovered a very big problem. When I export / render to
disc Live ignores and/or changes some of the automation on Group
Tracks, it also moves audio around from time to time.

Live: latest version of Live 8
Mac: Apple Power PC G5 dual 2.3 Ghz running OSX 10.4.11
Sound card: Motu 1296
Third party plug ins used on session: PSP MasterComp (but this group
never gave me any problems. it was always other tracks / groups with
no third party plug ins)

thats my same exact problem. its incredibly frustrating. only started happening when i updated to 8. it seems to occur only sometimes when im in my Live session but 100% of the time when i render. (i've tried rendering the same 2-song mix and the volume spike is present -- right at the start of the second track coming in -- after 10 out of 10 renderings).
