Especially if you're not just using one machine but 2 dozen that all can get away from you. But it's not about virtuoso skill it's about a song worth listening to.

Also you should broaden your horizons beyond virtuoso performances and appreciate music not just technical skill.
oh and for the record; im a classical guitarrist, and ive played in bands since the age of 14 and im 29 now. i know what it takes to play music live or not and i can tell you one thing: what hes doing is not even remotely close. that fucking scratcher guy might be using a computer but atleast hes actually doing sokemthing other then just tweaking a filter frequency and/or resonance.

I enjoyed that john, thanks for the link. Has really got the old school hardware vibe to it. Nicely done.

All that live machine tweaking creates a certain style, a vibe, which is different than strictly mouse created music. my thoughts exactly. I imagine most of the records I listened to when I was a teenager were recorded in exactly the same way.
my chin was stroked.

some guy (a common forumite type) with a cohesive song laid out in his home studio next to his D&D books. he can play the song but was late on some cues, mostly the 'bomb drops.' he also needs to work on a mixing console setup, get his levels hotter or use compressors. he fades out tracks really weakly (meekly?) I think it's 'red light' syndrome. he knows that set backward and forward but when it comes to recording, meh. still, looks like a fun set to play with. he's not trying to play out, just having fun.

what is he controlling with the BCF?

hi, 1st thank you for sharing my video, even if it's by far the most boring i've ever done, by request of a fellow twiterer who wanted the song to not change all the time like it mostly does in my other videos

to all the haters, hey chrominance zero is my side project, which i do mainly for fun, not to be a god

i can and do work, i do all my music in my spare time.

There is no computer in this setup, the mxer is a pretty old motu(actually mark of the unicorn) midi mixer 7s.

There is 2 me, the one who is a producer and spends 2 weeks tweaking hi hats in logic for a 3 minutes drum and bass song and the other part of me who says fuck that shit I wanna play. I come from a rock band(real, not game) background, so i need to play without a net to feel alive IYKWIM, playing with a computer and controllers like i did from 2002 to 2007 approx was not that experience, there was always a safeguard (ableton live from 1 to 5, reason), with the elctribe, there is none, if i miss a pattern or a mute/solo, it will be shit, so im even more motivated to fo it rigt and practice every day for 3-4 hours.

due to the nature of my craft and the machines i use, there is no thing like totall recall on the setup, some notes on a setlist, some patches saved in the synths, but that's about it, so every new "song" i compose i film it to remember what the original feel was so if ever someone asks me to do that one for let's say a compilation, i can watch my hands go and guess what i did, thet recreate it, sometimes like this one, the song is neat but the performance is sub par

anyway, thanks for watching and if you want to see some more action, check http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FdL3PtST-c (1 hour live set) or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lD5Q7qdKddo and for some live on stage action check this all live remix of SLTS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-4QFPGUUxI
