Ableton is triggering loops off time
Ableton is triggering loops off time
For some reason, when ever i click on a new loop in the scene view (e.g a hihat) is no longer starts perfectly on time. When i used to hit the little play button just prior to the beginning of the loop it would wait a second and then start perfectly on time.
Now when i hit play the new loop starts immediately........
WHY?????????

Sounds like you've inadvertently changed your Global Quantization setting.
Change it back to 1 Bar and all should be well.

hmm it still says 1 bar..... even when i put it on 2 bars for example....when the green little arrow stopped flashing to begin the loop on time...it still did not start on time.......

It also sounds like quantization to me...did you check the clip? Each clip can have it's own custom quantization that overrides the global setting. Select your clip, and in Clip View be sure the little L in the bottom left is lit up...this shows the Launch Mode panel. Check to see if your quantization was turned very low or off completely, as this will cause it to trigger right away instead of on the downbeat.
I hope this helps!

Hey JDM96r
Did you ever get an answer that works? I have had this problem for a long, long time and no good answer in this forum. I am sure we are doing something very simple that causes it but I can't figure it out. If I launch a whole scene everything is in sync. But if I start launching clips individually in other scenes one will eventually be out of sync. All clip quantizations are set to global and it is 1 bar.

Re: Ableton is triggering loops off time
is the start marker of each clip that your firing in the right spot?
If not it would cause the clip to sound like its not properly in time. you gotta get the warp markers dead on to where they should be.

Re: Ableton is triggering loops off time
This happened to me a while ago and it turned out to be an issue with the "groove" setting -- bottom left of each clip. check that each one is set to "straight". Might want to try and see if it helps.
