I got an email back saying that the team was full, even though I was one of the first ones to read the mail.

I just got a mail that says i got to hand-sign the NDA. But i don't have a scanner / fax. And he doesn't accept a hand-sign made in a painter app.

Ah well, at least the Abe's have a beta for us.

Same here, asked me what platform and, something like 2 minutes later, emailed back saying the team was full. Why ask, then?

No that is not right.

I am a Waves beta tester and people ask me at least once a week how they can be a beta tester for Waves. The first thing; it helps if you ever bought a Waves plug-in or bundle!

I don't know any facts about the selection process here, but generally most of the beta testers started out as customers. Is that surprising to anyone ?

Please remember that this is not a public beta program so there were not hundreds of chances to win. If you were playing it as a lottery, well of course that was bound to end in disappointment. I am sorry, but Ari is working with Frank's team to get Waves and Live working together well, not to hold a lottery. Name calling will not increase your chances anyway, so please just enter legitimate contests and make good music with what you have. There was no harm in trying; but the response here is not helpful to the goal, which I think Ari stated very clearly.

They could do me the courtesy of a reply, regardless of how little chance I have of success, don't you think? Rude tossers.

damn! What is with you spoilt little children!? Like Waves OWES you something!?! Just because they didn't respond doesn't mean they are rude, it most likely means they were overwhelmed by all the people that requested to beta test. They are under no obligation to respond to anyone unless you fit their criteria.

And that's also why they asked some of you what your specs are as they need to test certain systems. For example, if you said you had a dual G5 Mac, they may be all filled up with testers that have the configuration. If you had a 1.67GHz powerbook, maybe that's what they still needed testing on...

Just be honost with them and if you get in then, yay, you get free Waves plug-ins and if you don't, then you didn't lose ANYTHING! So stop whining!

(damn I'm so sick of these forums lately)
