After upgrading to Live 8 (8.04 and 8.08) I get massive CPU spike when I start playback.
CPU spikes right over to 177% playback stutters and pops then playback will even out. This is with all MIDI clips.
Does Live 8 have a re-engineered audio engine?
During normal play back the CPU meter reads 32% and plays back without any hitches.
This does not happen every time the transport is engaged or stopped, but is easily reproduceable by cliking intensively around with plugins and starting playback.
THIS DID NOT HAPPEN WITH VERSION 7.
I have tweaked my Audio buffers to 1048 and still get the issue.
PLEASE FIX ALL THESE BLOODY CPU ISSUES.
Setup is:
Win XP
Core 2 Duo 2ghz
4gig Ram
Motu Ultralite Firewire.
