Session mixer - midi mapping with more than 8 tracks?

Hi - I am fairly new to Live, I am using Live Suite 8 with M-Audio Keystation Pro 88. I have mapped Faders 1 - 8 on the keyboard to tracks 1 - 8 within Live, and it works fine.
I am trying to now map tracks 9-16, but somehow need to be able to select another bank, a bit like on the APC40 or Novation SL Mk2 where you shift up a bank and then fader 1 controls track 9.
Any ideas please?

If your controller is not supported as a "control surface" where these mappings are built in, you can make your own.

Thanks for the prompt reply. The link does contain some useful information, however if I have understood correctly, the article implies that only 8 faders/tracks can be addressed-

This gives you limited automatic control of mixer levels (for channels 1-8), sends (1-2 for each of those channels), record enable (for arming tracks), and the master mixer level. I like having a master to control, so having that ninth fader on the nanoKONTROL wound up being very nice.

Now, it is a little annoying to be limited to eight tracks, but there are two important factors here. Firstly, this is a dynamic assignment, meaning you don’t need to manually assign anything or make a special Live session template. That means you can mix and match MIDI and audio tracks arbitrarily, which you can’t do with a template. Secondly, sometimes having the arbitrary limit of eight channels is ideal in live performance — and it means you don’t have to bank around.

yep, with instant mapping your control surface will automagically map to Live devices, however you can only control the sends and faders on the first 8 tracks...

to be able to access more than 8 tracks, you need to use Mackie Control Emulation, or you can try programming your controller so it works with another one of the officially provided control surface scripts that supports track banking...

Thanks for the info - I have made some progress , by mapping faders 9-16 to midi channel 2 (Faders 1-8 on Channel 1) but not totally there yet!

Yeah I would think that the only way to do this with a regular keyboard controller is using different MIDI channels.. but then I'm pretty sure you're keyboard is going to be switching channels as everything else does.. not sure if this will be a problem but it could come up in the future.
