8.05b10 dropouts when launching clips with APC
Been working on my new live set, and I keep getting audio drop outs when I launch clips with the APC. Buffer is set to 512 on my Ultralite, running 10.5.8 ona 2.16gHz MBP. Doesn't happen everytime, but probably 50% of the time. There's only 8 tracks in session view, and the only plug ins are Live's own, but my CPU meter is only at 11% at any one time in the project. Also, moving more than 2 faders at once on the APC and the faders on the screen lag behind by quite a bit. Two faders or less and it's not a problem, three or more and the faders onscreen lag significantly.

I'm having the same problem. I have a Toshiba laptop with a M Audio Mobile Pre and I'm also getting dropouts. It doesn't happen often. I ran for about three hours with no problems, and then it began. It happened 5 times in minutes

My problem is solved. The RAM button is my new best friend.

Was posting in another 'dropout' thread.
RAM button fixes it alright.
I never had to use the RAM button on previous versions.
Why now?
My clips are max 8 bars long. No massive samples. Has Live become rubbish at reading a hard drive?

I never needed it before either, but I always used a desktop. I was having that problem on my laptop, and the hard drive only spins at 5400 rpm. Also, this is the biggest set that I have ever made. It has over 300 songs.
