could these be a problem, i cant select any midi out ports in a midi channel. t says that midi out is possible in live 8 launchpad edition ?
an orange midi port means Live can't use the port. at the least you have to restart Live. in Live orange ALWAYS means there's a problem.
kleine wrote:Hello,

Orange means that Live can´t access the MIDI driver or that the MIDI driver can´t access the interface because it´s not connected/powered down etc. It often helps to either reboot or reconnect the MIDI interface. In other cases it only helps
to reboot Live.

AFAIK the problem you're describing is outside of Live. make sure your device is powered up and connected. try using it with something other than Live.

that's where I'd start looking if I was in your studio debugging this.

I was number two. The guy who sold it to me said the person who purchased the first one was really concerned about getting it right away. If that was you, it sounded like you were really interested in getting it. What do you think of it?

I went in to just look around (honestly, I ain't lyin'). I asked the guy if he could show me a demo, he opened a box and i was like - SOLD! My wife wasn't impressed. I'm glad she loves me.

As they were still sealed when I got there, that must have been after I took a wee on them.

back OnT Ordered mine today. after reading all the bug threads about the apc when it first came out I thought I'd wait a day or 2 and not order months in advance.
Seems to be working fine for most people though (was the apc a launchpad 'beta'?)

the amber coloring on my buttons is really inconsistent, some are pretty dark and others are real light (almost greenish, which could be a problem)

very cool device for the price...

inconsistent LEDs, nope (phew)...

even the mixer pages are more useful than i thought they would be...

Launchpad day for me aswell =) Thomann is teh awesomeness, i ordert the bundled version with the nice neopren bag.

sadly i am sitting at the office and have to wait another 6 hours till i get home :?

But my first impression is very good, it feels sturdier then i thought, very solid thing - the pads are nice and soft & easy to push.

The size is absolutely perfect and i allready know that i will love it to compliment my UC33 :D
