It seems that the mouse is activating when moved too quickly over the session view. The system will stutter and even stop momentarily, without clicking on anything.
If the pointer trails in the control panel are not activated it is really bad as the system will stuttuer when moving the mouse to select clips.
I have tried wired and unwired mice with no difference also ASIO 4 all drivers with my Edirol FA66.Latency values make no difference also.
System is quad 2.5 GHz and 3.5 ram so has plenty of gruntand ever since Ive had live 7 its been an issue, I tried the support guys with no luck
I really dont feel like upgrading as the problem is lessened but still there with the demo version.
Any ideas out there??

Are you running some kind of mouse driver software? Mice do not need the fancy baloney that some manufacturers include - you can look in task manager to determine if unnecessary crap is running on your system. It is really important to do everything possible to streamline a PC for audio - google "xp audio tweaks".

Again, with reference to simillar threads on the forum,
It could simply be your hardware exceleration, I found clciks/pops and dropouts most when moving between 2 monitors. I do sometimes get it now, but I have a very simple studio laptop, with 2gb memory and single core 2.3ghz processor.
Try turning the exceleration down on your system settings just a notch and see if it get's any better.
Cheers.
