edit :crackles with Able10 covert operators pack.....

i'm getting "crackles" in sound when launching scenes with several sets.......the same set doesn't crackle at all in LIVE 8.08.....
it happen with both mouse and my APC40

by the way, the Cover operator live pack for Abe10 is doing that a LOT when changing scenes..

now it crackle a lot less...but the Cover Operator set is doing a lot of clicking noise when launching scenes.......

Thats weird. We made the pack on a 1.83 mac mini and didn't goo too nuts in the CPU usage.
I'll give 8.0.9 a go.

i've tried the Covert pack in 8.08 it's the same, i'll try on another computer just to see...

it happen with both Live 8.08 and 8.09 on two differents computers with different soundcards and buffer settings...

and the CPU is not really high on both machines, i'm just getting " Crackles" while launching scenes, which is strange....

Yes, I have had this and it is not specific to clips, but it is a Scene launch thing MIDI or Audio.

Even if during playback the over all CPU is 10%, Ableton will freak out on Scene Launch.

One thing I noticed is if I removed certain "Send" effects the problem seems to go away.

Personally, I believe the Audio Engine and Delay Compensation to be buggy as hell in version 8.

I'm having no such issues over here. But if you say this happens with our pack, then Ableton has a good file to try and reproduce the problem.
I'm sorry you're experiencing issues, the project doesn't include any more wizardry than is usual in my sets.

yes, i only get this while launching scenes,in the covert operator pack , launching clips individually work with no problems......

Are there any new findings on this topic?

Until now I didn't pay much attention to Session View in Live 8, because I was working on a new longplayer and did all the work in Arrangement View.

But now I'm working on a live-project with a friend and also have big issues with crackles while launching scenes. I first thought, the reason could be VISTA on my notebook, but it's going to happen on my XP-studio-computer too.

There are random crackels while launching scenes and sometimes there are short drop outs after launching a scene. System load in Ableton shows from 10 - 45%.

This happens without the covert operators pack installed. Happens by using Launchpad, APC or mouse for launching scenes within Live 8.09 and 8.1.

My setups are:
PC, Core2Quad 2,4 GHz, 4 GB RAM, MOTU PCI 24 i/o
PC notebook, Core2Duo 2,53 GHz, 3 GB RAM, M-Audio Fast Track Pro

Exactly the same for me. I have crackles too.

Does anyone have it when changing tempo too?

Oh! And it's also without Covert Op pack too.
