It's working Great with the right prefix [40h]

though one thing I was wrong for, the several outputs strongly NEED to be edited in the cfg file.
_____________________________________________________________________
OUTPUT CONFIG (rows 1-16, output 1-8)
[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]
[1][1][1][1][1][1][1][1] (256 else 2nd instance)
_____________________________________________________________________
Edit like above for full efficiency!
Note that your previous sets with molar won't take the several outputs in charge IF you did them before editing the cfg file.
I've personaly dropped the idea of re-doing every sets done with molar recorded on a @#k!!ng single track
Just having fun with my new template specialy created for molar with 1midi track for molar and 7 audio tracks for the outputs

in the case of check there>>

Thanks, Hermanus.

That wasn't the problem, but now, without changing anything, it suddenly works! 8O

Hi people

I'm looking for a little help with this. I don't actually know if this is a Monomulator issue or a Molar issue but here goes...

Monomulator is installed the way described in the tutorial video. I have my 2 IAC busses set up named the same as in the video. All modes seem to work fine. I can switch between the standard APC functions, slider mode, and the midi key notes mode.

Monome mode does not appear to work at all with the Molar VST or AU version for that matter. The closest I have been able to come is having the Scene launch buttons light up and scroll downward corresponding to the top row of the Molar vst scrolling horizontal. Also the pan button on the APC flashes for what I assume is the last button in row one.

I'm a complete Monome noob so maybe molar is just too advanced for me but it seems like it is not responding in the way it should. Is there a simpler program I should try to start with?

I'm on a macbook pro running snow leopard and live 8.0.5

Any help is much appreciated.

There's a new app on the monome forum, it's a version of MLR that works with Albeton Live - basically you play your session in Live, and whenever you want to mash up a certain loop or set of loops from a scene, you just hit one button on the monome (or emulator) it then imports the loops into MLR, then when you trigger that loop in MLR it auto mutes the track in Live.

This can be done every time you launch a new clip or scene, you can import a single track's clip or all playing clips (up to 6)

@ jeremy, molar is the easiest way to start with a monome app...Imo because it's a vsti.

Once you've setted it the right way you should have plenty hours of fun ;)

be sure to avoid any midi outputs in live preferences [as shown on the set up tutorial for monomulator]

@auditory canvas: Huge thanks for sharing the info, looks great!

well I'm beginning to think that my problem lies in the Molar VSTi and not the Monomulator. I still can't be sure. I downloaded and installed mlrV4live http://post.monome.org/?PostBackAction= ... entID=2075 was able to get some lights flashing across the apc horizontally like it should but when I press a button a button to retrigger a slice the button two columns to the right lights up :?:

Is anyone running Monomulator on os X 10.6? wondering if my problems are because of Snow Leopard.

I got boing working tonight. You have to send the midi out to a new aic/midiyoke bus and then have a operator or synth set up in live to catch and play the sounds..

I need to learn mlr though, all the audio i put in it comes out sounding like craziness.

I'm more confident with molar... for two major reasons:
1. its cpu usage is transparent within live
2. you can store your audio files easily and browse them live while you're playing_ row per row

For me it's like having hundreds of looped clips in ableton, without any cpu load added.

I reserve 8 tracks for molar + 1extra track to feed molar with audio[awesome and fun]

I can put clips on these tracks>> once I play clip, audio from molar is off...
that lets you mix from tracks purely made with Live and some jamming with molar.
So you can mix all together, sweetness it is.

Was pleasantly surprised to see a vst version of molar. But for the Love of God, is there any step by step instructions out there that are comprised of any more than a cryptic video on YouTube, or 2 sentences in the Read Me?

Christ, did I miss something somewhere?
I came for the
But stayed for the :x

i most be retarded. ive got everything working except for the monome app part. i got the switching funtions down, the apc mode, the fader mode and the keys mode. the molar vst i cant make work at all, or even make a sound or effect anything and i certainly cant make it do anything on my apc in monome mode. after about 3 hours of working with it i have to stop, i cant afford to throw my computer again. its all most likely because i have absolutely no idea how to work max and im just using runtime
