I don't know if any one else has this problem but when ever i put an audio sample (ie kick drum) the first sample on the audio track from where playback starts sounds a little muted as if the attack portion is muted.
I hope I have explained myself properly. Thanks in advanced for any suggestions.

check the fade button if it's on, on the clip.

if it's off, and it still behaves like that, you found the mythical "starting a track in ableton sounds faded" bug, that got discussed very often in here.
